Version 2.0 Rewrite! (And Linux Support!)
I was actually supposed to make this devlog tomorrow, but i just could not be patient enough, because i am excited to show everyone a much more fleshed out version of this engine, this time featuring Native Linux Support!
Version 2.0 Provides a smaller(?) Executable file for the engine, while also adding more performance tweaks where possible;
I uploaded two versions of the engine for each OS (Windows, Linux);
One being a showcase on how the Engine functions, as well as a sample "Terrain Generation" demo
(You can press F1 to activate "Debug Mode", which so far only shows how some of the collisions work on a more detailed level; The gray square near the player indicates the next frame on where the Player should end up, while the red squares in the corners indicate the "Origin" point of each object. This will be available in every game that uses this Engine)
Base Engine Controls :
Arrow Keys - Controls Player
F2 - Cycle Through Stages
Sample Game Controls :
Arrow Keys - Controls Player
F2 - Generates a new random texture
F3 - Toggles Textures
F4 - Cycles between the texture resolutions (16x16, 8x8, 5x5, 4x4) (Is defaulted to 8x8 for performance reasons)
